Information Services Board

The Information Services Board (ISB) meets three times a year to review and recommend information strategies and policies to support the College's mission. It covers library and IT services, the IT infrastructure and information policies area generally, for example: data protection and web publishing. It reports to the Academic Board and the Finance and Planning Committee.

Library Board

The Library Board was initiated for Academic Year 2009/10. It will oversee and advise on the delivery of the Information Strategy via library-related projects and the development of user-focused library services.

It aims to:

• advise the Library Management Team about the prioritisation of proposed development projects.
• establish effective project management for major funded projects.
• monitor the progress of projects; ensure they are delivered effectively; and ensure they realise their expected benefits.
• monitor the effectiveness of the Library's structures and its relationships with its customer base; and to ensure the relevance of library developments to academic developments within the College.
• supplement the role of Library User Forum in enabling academic opinion to be discerned
• enable feedback on the effectiveness of Library services
• consider financial and planning issues

Library Users Forum

The Library Users Forum (LUF) meets each semester bringing together undergraduate, postgraduate, academic and Library staff members. It monitors Library services and provides a forum for general and open discussion on use of the Library and user input to the development of library services. LUF reports into both the the Library Board and Information Services Board.
