Title Substitution, Returns, Cancellations

Title Substitution

If a situation arises where John Smith’s/Kortext identifies a potential problem with delivering the required books and content (print, electronic or bespoke) by the specified delivery date , they must provide early warning of this to QMUL. In addition to providing early warning, John Smith’s/Kortext should also offer recommendations of alternative content that could be provided, for example different editions or alternative publishers/titles. QMUL reserves the right either to accept the recommended substitute title(s) or to reject them and make their own alternative arrangements for supply.

Returns and Cancellations

John Smith’s will accept returns, for a full refund of purchase price, of any Goods found to be faulty, or any Goods incorrectly supplied, even if the Goods have been serviced for the Buyer. These returns will be at the expense of the Supplier and collected within one week of notification. Returns will be negotiable in cases of Buyer error. (Not applicable to e-books)

John Smith’s will accept, at no charge, cancellation of any order for Goods that remain outstanding and have not been received by the Supplier, or that have not been delivered within the agreed supply times specified in the Service Standard.
