Part of the university's phased plan to reopen research and study spaces on our campuses, and in response to identified need for access to Library spaces and collections, the Mile End Library will reopen with bookable individual silent study spaces on the ground floor, and a Click and Collect service.

Click and Collect

To support access to the physical collections, a Click and Collect service will operate.  For a brief introduction, and information on what to do, see the Mile End Library Click and Collect [PPT 256KB] presentation.

To request items go to the Click and Collect Request Form and complete the information for each item.

Bookable individual silent study spaces

Parts of the Mile End Library ground floor will be open for individual silent study; slots must be booked in advance, as there are limits to the number and length of bookings.  To book a study desk, go to the desk booking tool to see when spaces are available and make a booking.

In addition to the Mile End Library ground floor, Canalside remains open, and rooms in the Francis Bancroft Building will be opening shortly.  All the locations are bookable via the desk booking tool, which also has times of operation for each location.

Keep up to date with Library Services during the pandemic, view seating plans of our spaces as the reopen, as well as finding out the latest information on all our libraries and managed spaces by visiting the Library Services during COVID-19 page.
