Please note that due to pressure on study spaces and resources during our examination period there will be restricted access for visitors from Tuesday 23 April to Friday 31 May 2019 inclusive at our Mile End site only.
Membership and Access for ALL other visitors including undergraduates and Masters students from University of London will be suspended during this period.
Access to our other libraries, Whitechapel and West Smithfield will remain unchanged.

University of London students are welcome to visit our libraries once per academic year using a One Day Pass, without the need of providing research need. UoL students who need repeated access are eligible to apply for our reference-only access membership filling the "Repeated access for external visitors" form available here.
Temporary membership can be granted in case of research reasons only. Indeed, the access to our libraries is restricted to visitors demonstrating genuine research needs, i.e. a need to access specific resources held in our libraries' printed collections. Reasons such as a need for study space or proximity to our campuses cannot be accepted.
In order to apply for temporary membership please complete the online form available here including:
- A demonstration of your need to consult material held in the library
- The printed resources you intend to use (please search our library catalogue)
- The period of your planned visit
The maximum length of the membership is three months, renewable, and access during term time is limited to off-peak hours (from 18:00 to 00:00 during the week, from 08:00 to 00:00 at weekends).
Please note that external visitors do not have access to PCs or electronic resources, including Wi-Fi.
